Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sing Sing Sing armchair by Shirō Kuramata was auctioned at Sothebys in Cologne in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 1,386.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirō Kuramata achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Miss Blanche' chair in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,240,000.00 (€ 255,777.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sing Sing Sing armchair von Shirō Kuramata kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Köln zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.386,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirō Kuramata erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Miss Blanche' chair im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.240.000,00 (€ 255.777,86).
