Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction 80s, which included the work Set of three “Flower vase #1" by Shirō Kuramata. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,224.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirō Kuramata achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Miss Blanche' chair in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,240,000.00 (€ 255,777.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 80s durch, in der auch die Arbeit Set of three “Flower vase #1" von Shirō Kuramata zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.224,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirō Kuramata erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Miss Blanche' chair im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.240.000,00 (€ 255.777,86).
