Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barcham Green Portfolio No. 3 by Sherrie Levine was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,134.00 (€ 1,083.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sherrie Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fountain (After Marcel Duchamp) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 778,469.75).

Die Arbeit Barcham Green Portfolio No. 3 von Sherrie Levine kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.134,00 (€ 1.083,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sherrie Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fountain (After Marcel Duchamp) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 962.500,00 (€ 778.469,75).
