This artwork by Shang Yang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Shanghai in October 2016. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction, the work H Land - 14 sold for CNY 1,140,000.00 (€ 153,497.54) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shang Yang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,480,000.00 (€ 640,210.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shang Yang erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Christies in Shanghai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) wurde die Arbeit H Land - 14 für CNY 1.140.000,00 (€ 153.497,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shang Yang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.480.000,00 (€ 640.210,11).
