A top price for Shang Yang - as previously expected
The work Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) by Shang Yang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 5,480,000.00 (€ 640,210.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) is the most expensive artwork by Shang Yang that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) von Shang Yang kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.480.000,00 (€ 640.210,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Shang Yang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
