This artwork by Serge Attukwei Clottey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction, the work Yaa the bride sold for GBP 176,400.00 (€ 209,142.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Serge Attukwei Clottey; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fashion icons sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 403,045.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Serge Attukwei Clottey erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Yaa the bride für GBP 176.400,00 (€ 209.142,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00.
