Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother and Child by Serge Attukwei Clottey was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,950.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Serge Attukwei Clottey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fashion icons in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 403,045.12).

Die Arbeit Mother and Child von Serge Attukwei Clottey wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.950,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
