Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Curious Look by Serge Attukwei Clottey. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,710.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Serge Attukwei Clottey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fashion icons in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 403,045.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Curious Look von Serge Attukwei Clottey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.710,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Serge Attukwei Clottey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fashion icons im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 340.200,00 (€ 403.045,12).
