Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Self Portraits 1990-1998 by Sarah Lucas for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,134.98). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in London (Online) and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Lucas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bunny Gets Snookered #8 in May this year with an auction result of USD 736,600.00 (€ 691,383.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self Portraits 1990-1998 von Sarah Lucas für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.134,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in London (Online) erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Lucas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bunny Gets Snookered #8 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 736.600,00 (€ 691.383,52).
