This artwork by Sang Huoyao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2020. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work without title sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,867.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sang Huoyao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forbidden City in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 63,941.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sang Huoyao erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.867,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sang Huoyao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forbidden City im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 63.941,96).
