Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Dialogue Of Prosperity (Triptych) by Sang Huoyao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,438.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sang Huoyao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forbidden City , which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 63,941.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dialogue Of Prosperity (Triptych) von Sang Huoyao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.438,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sang Huoyao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forbidden City beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 63.941,96) versteigert wurde.
