The work PARADISE by Sang Huoyao was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 18,278.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sang Huoyao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forbidden City , which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 63,941.96).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit PARADISE von Sang Huoyao wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 18.278,50) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sang Huoyao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forbidden City beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 63.941,96) versteigert wurde.
