Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Discretion by Sandro Chia was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,950.00 (€ 22,231.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandro Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pharmacist's son in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 252,500.00 (€ 362,606.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Discretion von Sandro Chia wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.950,00 (€ 22.231,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandro Chia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pharmacist's son im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 252.500,00 (€ 362.606,61).
