Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Sandro Chia was worth GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,050.57) to a buyer in July this year. This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandro Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pharmacist's son in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 252,500.00 (€ 362,606.61).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Sandro Chia war einem Käufer im Juli diesen Jahres GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.050,57) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandro Chia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pharmacist's son im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 252.500,00 (€ 362.606,61).
