This artwork by Sam Samore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in February 2012. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Tower of Lips sold for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,477.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. This high result makes Tower of Lips the most expensive artwork by Sam Samore that we have observed at auctions so far.
