The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,731.05), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sam Samore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tower of Lips in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,477.49).

Die Arbeit Allegories of Beauty (Incomplete) #105 von Sam Samore wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.731,05) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Samore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tower of Lips im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 44.477,49).
