Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sam Samore could be acquired at Christies in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the A Century of Art: Photographs from The Gerald Fineberg Collection auction, the work Untitled (from Allegories of Beauty Series), 1992 changed hands for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,384.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Samore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tower of Lips in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,477.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sam Samore konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion A Century of Art: Photographs from The Gerald Fineberg Collection wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (from Allegories of Beauty Series), 1992 für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.384,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Samore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tower of Lips im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 44.477,49).
