Sold at the upper estimate price
In June 2020 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam, which included the work The Killers by Sam Samore. The auction ended at the price of EUR 6,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sam Samore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tower of Lips in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,477.49).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Killers von Sam Samore zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 6.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Samore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tower of Lips im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 44.477,49).
