Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Falling by Ryan McGinley was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 8,244.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryan McGinley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alex (Giant Explosion), which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 8.244,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryan McGinley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alex (Giant Explosion) beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98) versteigert wurde.
