Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Watkins Glen by Ryan McGinley. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,620.00 (€ 6,902.17). Admittedly, works by Ryan McGinley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alex (Giant Explosion) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Watkins Glen von Ryan McGinley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.620,00 (€ 6.902,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan McGinley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alex (Giant Explosion) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98).
