Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ryan McGinley could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Hoarder: Part III auction, the work Jake and Dakota changed hands for GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,855.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryan McGinley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alex (Giant Explosion) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryan McGinley konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Hoarder: Part III wechselte die Arbeit Jake and Dakota für GBP 2.394,00 (€ 2.855,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryan McGinley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alex (Giant Explosion) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98).
