Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sugar by Ryan McGinley was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 10,160.00 (€ 9,202.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryan McGinley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alex (Giant Explosion), which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sugar von Ryan McGinley wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.160,00 (€ 9.202,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryan McGinley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alex (Giant Explosion) beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98) versteigert wurde.
