Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rupert Shephard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2005. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Four plates, from London - The Passing Scene sold for GBP 840.00 (€ 1,238.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rupert Shephard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Native Women With Mats, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,556.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rupert Shephard erzielte im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Four plates, from London - The Passing Scene für GBP 840,00 (€ 1.238,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rupert Shephard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Native Women With Mats beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.556,95) versteigert wurde.
