Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Kew Green by Rupert Shephard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 673.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rupert Shephard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Native Women With Mats in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,556.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kew Green von Rupert Shephard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 673,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rupert Shephard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Native Women With Mats im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.556,95).
