Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Railway Lines, Near Cape Town by Rupert Shephard. The price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 746.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Rupert Shephard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Native Women With Mats in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,556.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Railway Lines, Near Cape Town von Rupert Shephard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 746,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rupert Shephard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Native Women With Mats im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.556,95).
