Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Landscape, Provence by Rupert Shephard. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 978.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rupert Shephard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Native Women With Mats, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,556.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape, Provence von Rupert Shephard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 660,00 (€ 978,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rupert Shephard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Native Women With Mats beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.556,95) versteigert wurde.
