Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Christies in London held the auction Prints, which included the work Five plates, from London - the Passing Scene by Rupert Shephard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 384.00 (€ 569.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Admittedly, works by Rupert Shephard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Native Women With Mats in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,556.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five plates, from London - the Passing Scene von Rupert Shephard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 384,00 (€ 569,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rupert Shephard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Native Women With Mats im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.556,95).
