The auction ended at the price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,747.42), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Schlichter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porträt Helene Weigel. in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 600,000.00.

Die Arbeit Der Inder Und Der General (Recto); Figuren (Verso) von Rudolf Schlichter wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.747,42) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Schlichter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porträt Helene Weigel. im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 600.000,00.
