Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Matter of Art by Ronnie Cutrone was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 960.00 (€ 710.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronnie Cutrone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird's Eye View in July last year with an auction result of USD 25,200.00 (€ 24,701.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Matter of Art von Ronnie Cutrone im Juni 2007 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 960,00 (€ 710,06) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronnie Cutrone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird's Eye View im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 24.701,04).
