Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ron Mueck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,333.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Mueck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Baby in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 912,985.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ron Mueck konnte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.333,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Mueck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big Baby im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 912.985,73).
