Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Daumier to Olitski: Select Works from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation and Family Collections, which included the work Untitled (Baby) by Ron Mueck. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,339.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Mueck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Baby in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 912,985.73).

Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Daumier to Olitski: Select Works from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation and Family Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Baby) von Ron Mueck zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 10.339,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Mueck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big Baby im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 912.985,73).
