Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Ron Mueck. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 58,805.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Mueck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Baby in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 912,985.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ron Mueck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 58.805,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Mueck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big Baby im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 912.985,73).
