Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Mother and Child by Ron Mueck for GBP 445,250.00 (€ 551,325.51). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Ron Mueck have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2011 by the work Big Baby at GBP 825,250.00 (€ 912,985.73).

Im Juni 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mother and Child von Ron Mueck für GBP 445.250,00 (€ 551.325,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ron Mueck wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2011 die Arbeit Big Baby mit GBP 825.250,00 (€ 912.985,73).
