Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Ron Gorchov was worth USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,223.20) to a buyer in March 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ron Gorchov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work General, which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 152,800.00 (€ 177,832.89).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Ron Gorchov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit General beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für GBP 152.800,00 (€ 177.832,89) versteigert wurde.
