Signed Ron Gorchov and dated © RON GORCHOV 1980 verso. Mixed media on papier-mâché, convexly shaped and pressed 69 x 59 cm. Reinforced on the back with two wooden rods. Mounted in plexiglass box 75.5 x 65.5 x 20.5 cm.
Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work "Untitled, #20" by Ron Gorchov for SEK 150,000.00 (€ 13,725.59). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art & Design at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 200,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Gorchov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work General in June this year with an auction result of GBP 152,800.00 (€ 177,832.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Untitled, #20" von Ron Gorchov für SEK 150.000,00 (€ 13.725,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 200.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ron Gorchov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit General im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 152.800,00 (€ 177.832,89).
