Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Hommage À Bill) by Roland Penrose was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,879.48), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roland Penrose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artifact in February 2018 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,722.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Hommage À Bill) von Roland Penrose wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.879,48) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roland Penrose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artifact im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.722,79).
