Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work My Angelic Diane; and Trouville, France by Roland Penrose. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,658.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roland Penrose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artifact in February 2018 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,722.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit My Angelic Diane; and Trouville, France von Roland Penrose zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.658,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roland Penrose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artifact im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.722,79).
