Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Busking by Rokni Haerizadeh was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,564.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rokni Haerizadeh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shomal (Beach at the Caspian) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 205,753.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Busking von Rokni Haerizadeh im Oktober 2009 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.564,47) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rokni Haerizadeh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shomal (Beach at the Caspian) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 205.753,65).
