A top price for Rokni Haerizadeh
When the work Shomal (Beach at the Caspian) by Rokni Haerizadeh was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in March 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 60,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 221,000.00 (€ 205,753.65). This high result makes Shomal (Beach at the Caspian) the most expensive artwork by Rokni Haerizadeh that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Shomal (Beach at the Caspian) von Rokni Haerizadeh im März 2015 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 60.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 221.000,00 (€ 205.753,65) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Shomal (Beach at the Caspian) zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Rokni Haerizadeh, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
