Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Island In The Sky, Island In The Sea: KAL 007 Or Grenada, On Which Island Would You Rather Have Been? by Roger Brown was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 25,200.00 (€ 25,758.97). Admittedly, works by Roger Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cloud Cover in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Island In The Sky, Island In The Sea: KAL 007 Or Grenada, On Which Island Would You Rather Have Been? von Roger Brown im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
