Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oxfordshire Oak, Banford Fall by Rodney Graham was sold in the Contemporary Passions auction at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 378.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rodney Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inverted Drip Painting #47 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
