In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Oak, Mellaar from the series Flanders Trees by Rodney Graham. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,973.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rodney Graham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Inverted Drip Painting #47 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oak, Mellaar from the series Flanders Trees von Rodney Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.973,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rodney Graham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Inverted Drip Painting #47 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
