Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dionne Warwick; James Brown; and Ringo by Robert Stanley was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,035.28). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Stanley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Andrea" in November 2012 with an auction result of SEK 200,000.00 (€ 23,074.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dionne Warwick; James Brown; and Ringo von Robert Stanley im April 2018 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.035,28) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Stanley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Andrea" im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 200.000,00 (€ 23.074,56).
