Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aids Quilt by Robert Silvers was sold in the Contemporary Part I and Part II auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,593.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Silvers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dollar Bill in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 77,397.02).

Die Arbeit Aids Quilt von Robert Silvers wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.593,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Silvers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dollar Bill im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 77.397,02).
