Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work 100 Dollar Bill by Robert Silvers for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,733.90). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Silvers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dollar Bill in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 77,397.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 100 Dollar Bill von Robert Silvers für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.733,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Silvers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dollar Bill im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 77.397,02).
