The work Conversion by Robert Ryman was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,970.00 (€ 12,653.99), 55% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Ryman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of USD 20,141,250.00 (€ 18,769,220.02).

Die Arbeit Conversion von Robert Ryman wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.970,00 (€ 12.653,99) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Ryman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.141.250,00 (€ 18.769.220,02).
