In June 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TwentiethCentury Art, which included the work Kenia by Rob Scholte. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,500.00 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rob Scholte; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Overspel (Adultery) sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of EUR 40,320.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TwentiethCentury Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kenia von Rob Scholte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.500,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rob Scholte; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Overspel (Adultery) im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 40.320,00.
