Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Riyas Komu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,360.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Riyas Komu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Designated March of a Petro - Angel (or Desert March) in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 104,040.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Riyas Komu kam im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.360,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Riyas Komu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Designated March of a Petro - Angel (or Desert March) im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 104.040,91).
