The work Hey, Why Should Everyone Look Like Mao? by Riyas Komu was sold in the BRIC Theme Sale auction at Phillips in London in April 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,524.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Riyas Komu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Designated March of a Petro - Angel (or Desert March), which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 146,500.00 (€ 104,040.91).

Die Arbeit Hey, Why Should Everyone Look Like Mao? von Riyas Komu wurde im April 2010 in der Auktion BRIC Theme Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.524,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Riyas Komu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Designated March of a Petro - Angel (or Desert March) beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 146.500,00 (€ 104.040,91) versteigert wurde.
