Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Digital Derby by Ricky Swallow for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,444.25). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ricky Swallow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rehearsal For Retirement in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,587.20).
